A commission for Purley Festival, which would become the base for the logo, they asked for a take on the original Tanzanite design with 'Bright, celebratory colours'
Purple is a wonderfully rich, vibrant colour. Long associated with royalty, it is believed to signify creativity, wisdom, devotion, and magic. Purple is so strongly associated with magic and mysticism that fictional characters regularly incorporate the deeper hues in costume design to signify the wearers unique powers. The December birthstone is primarily sourced in Tanzania and is named in honour of its country of origin. Often described as “velvety”, because of its deep and saturated colour, which ranges from a pure rich blue to violet. The traditional gift for 24th wedding anniversary, purple id believed to marry the calm and tranquil stability of blue with the passionate and fierce energy of red.
I know I'd be happy to enjoy that combination in my life!
