Originally discovered in Sri Lanka, the Padparadascha is very rare and valuable variety of sapphire, named after the Sinhalese word for 'lotus blossom'. It is prized for its unique pink-orange colour, which is a blend of pink and orange or red and yellow hues, often compared to a sunset or a lotus flower. This distinctive coloration is what differentiates it from other sapphires, which are more commonly blue. This precious gem never fails to dazzle, its colours are deliciously pretty, with warm pink and orange hues reminiscent of tropical fruit and summer evenings.Believed to honour the higher mind and bring intuition, clarity and self-mastery and worn throughout the ages for protection, good fortune and spiritual insight. Sapphires are not only symbols of power and strength, but also of kindness and wise judgment. I really love its symbolism and peachy glow!
